Greetings Horse Players:

After a 2 month hiatus of smelling the roses at all the nice places, I'm back at the track for the meat of all meets, Saratoga and Del Mar. So as I used to say for 30 years when I was back in the Handicapping Biz, "Top of the race day. Rise and shine and put your betting shoes on."

To kick things off, my 1st play is at Del Mar, race one. My choice is #1 STEPSUN. Call it a gambler's instinct, but this 2yr. old colt has been working at Evangeline Downs in Louisiana.  Two years ago, a 2yo colt debuted at Del Mar after a long series of works at Evangeline Downs, went off at 12-1, went to the lead,, improved his position to easily wire the field, paying $24.80. Could be that the same connections have prepared #1 STEPSUN to cash in on his debut today. I believe that a useful wagering tool is to bet a little to make a lot. My instinct kicks in and I'm a player here. Taking a shot that history could repeat itself.
